Early morning in Peru, people are waiting for the sun to burn through the clouds at the Incan village of Machu Picchu(Machu Picchu is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World).

Every morning an astonishing sight await the weary travellers, some of which has been hiking several days through the jungle on the "Inca trail" to reach Machu Picchu. Others, like me, are just tired after arriving with the train the previous day and having to get up early to catch the sunrise.

When I walked up the mountain to the ruins, it was all covered in clouds obscuring the sight.
The moment the rays of morning sun hit the ruins for the first time, an impressive sight is revealed. The ruins cover a rather large area in a place where it even today would seem like an impossible task to build a city. A city in the clouds

Machu Picchu is really the name of the mountain where the ruins of an abandoned Inca village lies hidden. The village was constructed around 1462 and was abandoned before the Spanish conquered the Inca kingdom
